Tours Airport (Tours Val de Loire Airport) is located five kilometres from the city of Tours. Ryanair offer flights from Dublin Airport to Tours on Mondays and Thursdays during the summer months.
Tours is situated in between the Loire and the Cher rivers. The city is sometimes referred to as the Garden of France due to the amount of parks within the city. Fondue is a bit of a specialty in Tours. Rue Colbert is a good spot to find a nice variety of cuisine on offer. Jump in your Tours Airport car hire and head for Touraine which is a region famed for its wine. It’s an excellent area to visit with the châteaux of Touraine a must see.
Tours plays host to the Foire de Tours international exhibition of cultures in May and the regular Arts Festival in June.
